Namemakerlabelco Sew-in Labels; Product Review

Hullo!

Remember the lovely personalized label I showed you sewn into my Maison Fleur summer top?

In case you were wondering, I purchased 50 of these lovelies from namemakerlabelco through Etsy.

(Just in case you don't know Etsy, it is an online retailer of all things arts, crafts, and antiques.  If you have never shopped there, stop reading and go visit right now.  Really. You're welcome.)

The cost was $32.50.  Their page warns you that it takes up to two months for delivery, and I found that to be true.  When they arrived they were basted together in two strips:

I am very pleased with the quality of the labels.  These are the sew-in version.  An iron-on version is also available which I may try sometime in the future.

What I really liked about this company is that it allows you to choose different label colors, embroidery colors, and font styles.  You can also add a variety of little images if you like such as sewing notions, animals, etc., although I elected to keep mine simple.  I chose the white label and grey embroidery.

These little labels make me very happy.  I can sew them into the seam or onto the inside neckline of any special clothes I make to add an extra personal touch.

What do you think?  Will you add these onto your wish list?

  1. Lovely font and colour choice. Two months even for a custom made product seems like a rather long time to me, but perhaps that's something of the norm in the custom label world. I have no first hand experience ordering such, so I can't say. It's great that they did finally reach you and that you like them so much. I can imagine that it will a lot of fun to select, over the course of time, the fifty different garments (or other projects) that you put each of them in.

    Happy 4th of July weekend!!!
